Antonio Marshall is a professional Visual Effects and Motion Graphics artist born on January 11th, 1980 in a small town called Troy, North Carolina. Growing up, he inherited a love for art from his biological father, Gaston Arthur Shaw, who was tragically killed just three months after Antonio's birth. Throughout his childhood and school years, Antonio honed his artistic talents, winning numerous awards for his drawings and paintings. A huge influence in his life was Bob Ross, whose painting series he watched regularly. Despite his passion for art, Antonio struggled to see a path for himself as an artist.
In 1997, he joined the Army as an Artilleryman (13B), hoping to find a sense of direction and purpose. However, even in the military, his artistic talents were recognized and he was often assigned to paint murals as a form of punishment. Antonio would paint at 1/22nd and 1/79th at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. In 1999, he changed his military occupational specialty (MOS) to become apart of the military intelligence community as a (97B). He was stationed at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona C Company 309th MI battalion. By the end of 1999, Antonio moved on to change his MOS for a third time. He then became stationed in Bamberg, Germany as a Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic (63B). In 2003, Antonio was discharged from the Army due to a lower back injury and was also diagnosed with Testicular cancer. He underwent surgery at Duke University hospital and was double dosed with Chemotherapy. Faced with the many obstacles and new challenges in his life; Antonio fell into a great state of depression. Antonio moved back to Arizona in 2005 and took up photography and videography as a hobby to cope with his depression. He decided to go back to college and studied graphic design at Pima Community College and Brown Mackie College in Tucson, Arizona but did not complete schooling. In 2011, Antonio went to the Art Institute of Las Vegas and graduated with a Bachelor's degree as a Visual Effects and Motion Graphics Artist. He continues to work in the entertainment industry as a producer, director, artist, and designer. He has contributed to many projects from Music videos to simple logo designs. In 2013, Antonio picked up his first professional credit on IMDb.com as a Visual Effects Artist for the movie entitled "FREEZE" directed by Gregory Gillaspie. Throughout his life, Antonio's art has been an important part of him, and he continues to be inspired by the memory of his father, Gaston Shaw. In 2009, Antonio formed Marshall Media Productions with the help of a friend, Marcus Love. Antonio also created the Freedom Fighters Network. The company went on to help many local artists from Arizona such as CIA Black Diamond, Doggs Fo Life "DFL", Big Cydwaiz, Jae High, Arizona Fatz, Determined Records, Arizona Menace, and many others. |
